fourth full-length [2013] by ferocious three-piece proves that French scene is full of sheer talent and genius musicians regardless of changing seasons: twisted, menacing riffs intertwine with innovative rhythm section and captivating progressive approach, where dissonant guitar structures and unexpected harmonic shifts create claustrophobic sonic labyrinth, where every rhythm change intensifies the paranoid disposition, yet even more intriguing details lie beneath the surface: musicians are careful to balance avantgarde leanings with brutish intensity, refusing to let the listener forget for even a moment this is black fucking metal, with vocalist's tormented howls, growls, and moans animating and enlivening the droning, drawn-out passages; recent gatefold sleeve double black-marbled blue vinyl edition is limited to 500 hand-numbered units, copy #6
